  Leo is a male African lion born approx. April of 1997, came to us from an individual in Texas at the end of March 1998. He was badly malnourished and barely had the strength to eat or get up. Leo was taken to the Dean of Veterinary Medicine at OSU, who said that he may not grow to the full size of a lion. Which also means he may not grow a full mane like an adult lion would. Since he's been with us, he has come about in many ways. We take him for walks and swimming with us to help strengthen him. Leo is a people friendly young lion who enjoys these extra activities.
